Happy Blythe Doll New Year!!

Happy New Year!!! May all your dreams come true and may this year be a really terrific year! Also, thanks so much to Heather for the darling champagne bottle and glass, among other great goodies, that I won from her via Pay It Forward group. Thanks also to the generous Jen F for the beautiful outfit my Mandy is wearing from the We Heart Dolls swap!

I used picmonkey.com to spice up my picture. For the background I used a simple place mat from the dollar store. I also used power tack to stick the glass and champagne bottle

Sorry the pic is upside down?  I must have used my iPod the wrong way.  I tried to flip it around but there is no option that I could see for that?

Well that's it for now.  I hope all you sweet and kind dolly people will have a wonderful New Years and all the best in 2016!!

Cheers!

A Christmas Blythe Wish

My niece and her kindergarten class were assigned to do a report regarding what they wanted for Christmas and she wrote that she wished for a Blythe doll dress made by her zia!  That's me!!  I am so honored over such a sweet and touching request.  The kid could have asked for anything too!  It's nice to see that some of today's children value lovely handmade things over the trendy and plastic things.

I only just found out and since I made 8 dresses for her in less than a month my sister in law didn't want to bother me about it.  Well I was fortunate to find out and just look at the 2 lovely dresses I made from vintage skipper patters I got from an online auction that are on Blythe411 Facebook Group that I created!

Doesn't my Maria Kenner Blythe doll from 1972 look so beautiful and lovely?!  I certainly think so!!  It's so retro, flower power and pretty!

I took my time with this because the elastic on the sleeves was something I had never done before but I figured it out.  Sometimes patterns are so vague but I was able to slow down and think about what I should do and voila it turned out so good!

This is my Aubrey a Prima Dolly Blythe Doll from CWC Takara or Hasbro.  I think it was before Hasbro took over but I am not 100% sure.  Anyways these are my first PJ's I have made a dolly and I think it turned out so cute.  I am still using the vintage rick rack I found at the thrift shop too!  I was so lucky to find it for a buck and so much of it also!

I can't wait to give them to her when she and her family visit me for Christmas!  I even got her and my other niece and nephew those Christmas Kinder eggs and limited edition Candy Cane Oreo's!

I wish all you kind people a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Holidays!  All the best to you and yours in 2016!!

This picture was taken way back in 2002, I believe!  I took it on my first Intel webcam that was attached to my PC and only cost me $50 CND plus tax.  The lighting was horrible and it was so washed out but I had fun and I love it!  That's what hobbies should be about.  God Bless!  Cheers!!

Christmas Time Blythe Dolls

I was in the dollar store the other week and noticed they had some pretty cute holiday decor that would be perfect for Blythe doll scenes and dioramas.  I picked up 2 items for under $5 CND since most things at the dollar store are not a dollar anymore, unfortunately.

I also spiced up my picture for free thanks to picmonkey.com!  I added a frost effect and snow and it just made my picture pop!

I also made the outerwear for both of my Kenner Blythe dolls based on vintage Skipper patterns I purchased off BigEyedBuys!  You can also get your dollies there and I have too for great prices since it's a wonderful tool that helps you find the best dolls and accessories for the best prices imho.

I made some dresses to sell for charity too.  They are listed on The Original Dolly Duds and Sundries via Facebook or feel free to message me if you wish to purchase them direct.  They are $20 US each plus shipping all the money minus the shipping and fees will go to charity.  I donate to The Salvation Army, The Daily Bread and another in great need right now.

There are also more Blythe Doll clothing items I am selling that are loved.  It's all on my Annablythedoll Facebook wall.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to wish all the sweet and kind people a very Merry Christmas &/or Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!  All the best to you and yours in 2016!!

Warmest Regards,
