Blythe Doll Care & Tips ( Stains & Storage )

There is so much information out there concerning Blythe doll tips and care that I thought that I would combine what I learned from my own experience over the years and all that I found out from researching the web into this single blog. Storage - When storing blythe dolls it seems that often there is a chemical reaction with plastics that causes melting. So when storing or traveling with your dolls, please be sure that the doll is not touching other plastic (stands, shoes - especially Rosebuds, dolls arms & legs, etc.). Plastic from the face has even melted when the legs of another doll has touched, so please do not store together or any other part touching will melt the doll if stored, it is ideal not to put the dolls together and keep separate. I wouldn't even store the doll contacting the dolls own arms and/or legs to the face. Some even wrap their dolls in a piece of cotton. Stains - Please be careful of denim, tights and black & red clothing. They are probl...

Fall Fantasy, When Stunning Fantasy Hair Color Blythe Dolls Meet Vibrant Fall Colors.

I was hit with inspiration last week when I was looking out into my back yard to notice all the vibrant fall colors and immediately think of my fantasy hair color Blythe dolls. The blue haired Blythe doll featured above is a Takara Blythe Asian Butterfly. There are two versions of AB, EBL and SBL. Both are out of production and a bit rare, though the EBL version is more so because the mold is no longer in existence. Other than the face mold difference and price (EBL is worth more and more rare), the only other thing is the 2 hair pom pom colors. They are both very cute. Pandora is wearing a Sugar Mag Blythe doll dress, I believe. The bright red haired girl is a Rouge Noir Takara Blythe doll with an EBL face mold. No other face molds were made of this particular Takara Blythe. Dressed in a Takara Blythe doll stock Aztec BL Blythe top, Takara Step in Time shoe set orange boots and the skirt was purchased off of the Buy and Sell section on Plastic Paradise...

Stolen Blythe Doll Pics For Possible Scam Sale!

Blythedrops sent me a pm on Flickr the other day inquiring if the two pictures on another person's account were mine. Then more pms followed with the same question. They in fact were my pictures and I also noticed that this person listed that the doll was for sale! I was very concerned because I did not want anyone to get ripped off so I proceeded to post right on the stolen pics! I stated that the pics were mine, the doll featured was in my possession and was not for sale! SapphireSA / Sweetheart Accessories is what the person is going by. I also posted on Plastic Paradise forum because I think a lot of people frequent that site. I rarely go on lj or any other dolly forums anymore so I decided to post on Flickr & Plastic Paradise because I find a lot of Blythers are active there. I am so glad that I did that because a member that sent this person money via PayPal that day was able to report them right away. Paypal stated that they would in fact get their money back! ...

Circle Contact Lense Craze To Look Like Lady Gaga & Blythe Dolls

I'm not sure if anyone has seen the news lately but even before then on the Plastic Paradise forum there was a thread regarding the latest circle contact trend. Optometrists have deemed these contacts dangerous because they may scratch the cornea but a lot of the girls wearing them still don't care cause they feel that they really look cute wearing them. I think they look neat but not enough to risk my eyes! Hopefully one day they will be able to release them with no risk to the wearer. All contacts have some risk if you do not ensure they are clean or wear them for too long. If you search the web you can find the specific risks. I actually found a great link from Health Canada that offers a lot of great info that people who are considering them should check out first: http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/hl-vs/iyh-vsv/med/lenses-lentilles-eng.php By the way, Lady Gaga had her eyes CGI'd (Computer-generated imagery) in the video Bad Romance but Blythe dolls eyes are all ...

Blythe Dolls Up North In Ontario, Canada

My Blythe dolls love to travel with me! Our latest trip was up north to a cottage on the lake. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Lots of fresh air and nature too. The follwing pictures of my BL Takara Kozy Cape Blythe doll (red hair) and my BL Takara Mondrian Blythe doll (Blond). They are rare blythe dolls because the BL face mold is no longer in production. They were made in 2001 by Hasbro, a reproduction of the 1972 Kenner Blythe dolls. Love,  AnnaBlytheDoll xo

Custom Blythe Dolls

When I first wanted a custom blythe doll I had to determine if I was going to buy an already customized doll, or if I was going to send one of my blythe dolls to a customizor, or if I was going to do it myself. Sending a doll away in the post costs but buying an already customized doll would only cost me one way shipping and you can usually find great deals for already completed customs. I decided to buy a cheap blythe doll and go ahead and try it myself! It was for me the best choice because not only was it the most frugal, but it was the most fun! I purchased a brand new blythe doll for only $65 US plus shipping. The reason was because the doll was so abundant and the face plate was still in mass production. You can also consider buying a used blythe doll or a nude blythe doll for even more savings. Some people even customize fake or factory blythe dolls even before touching a real blythe doll. I got a lot of tips online from blythe doll tutorials, websites, forum...

Blythe Doll Spring Fling 2010

I just love spring time and one of my favorite pastimes is photographing my Blythe dolls outdoors in nature and while I'm traveling. We were lucky to get a warm spell and I noticed some beautiful purple flowers in my garden. I knew right away which blythe doll I was going to feature and in which dress. I selected an Ashton Drake Blythe doll Medieval Mood I named Sophia, wearing a vintage PJ Barbie flower dress. I couldn't have planned it better. The orange in the dress brought out the orange in the center of the flowers and the purple flower petals brought out the lovely purple flowers in the orange dress. I'm not sure how I come up with these concepts but what helps is that I don't take it too seriously. I see some pics that have the perfect things but the end result is a bit too much like other people's pictures. Just have fun with it and even if the shots aren't unique at least you can put your own spin on it. ...
